Poetry for the Love of It
Whether you are a poet or enjoy reading poetry, Poetry for the Love Of It (PLOI) seeks kindred spirits to join our vibrant community. PLOI, which is a chapter of the Florida State Poets Association, meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month via ZOOM from 1:00 - 2:30 pm. Writing poems is not a requirement to join the group.
February meetings are Monday, February 9 and February 23. A presentation on the poet Francesco Marciuliano will be given by PLOI Chairperson Linda Whitefeather. Francesco Marciuliano wrote the New York Times bestseller I Could Pee on This and Other Poems by Cats, a collection of poetry supposedly written by cats. That book was followed by I Could Chew on This and Other Poems by Dogs, featuring poetry in the voice of dogs.
During the last half hour of meetings, members and guests may share their poems, or a poem written by someone else.
For information on joining, contact PLOI Chairperson, Linda Whitefeather at catfeather32301@gmail.com or call 850-300-2363
