TOT-TBID Dollars At Work Project Spotlight
Tahoe Guide presents the 4th annual Tahoe Wildfire Preparedness Guide as a standalone publication for the first time in 2024. This guide is a resource for residents, vacation homeowners and visitors to prepare for a wildfire by staying informed about local conditions, creating defensible space and taking steps to safeguard homes and businesses against the threats of wildfires, preparing your home, family and business in case of an evacuation, and tips on what to do if evacuation warnings and/or orders are issued.

*NEW* Sunday Commercial Trash Service
A pilot program will run between June 2 and September 1 this summer to initiate commercial trash service on Sunday. Commercial customers with at least two scheduled weekly pick-ups can adjust one of those pick-ups to the new Sunday service.
Interested customers should call TTSD at 530-583-7800 between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to request to change one of their collection days to Sunday.
This pilot program is being funded with TOT-TBID Dollars At work funds. Thank you to the members of the business community who participated in the conversation around the need for Sunday service.

Using GPS technology, TahoeAlerts simplifies emergency notification registration for residents and visitors. Water and Wastewater Relief Program
Launching July 1, the NTPUD Rate Relief Program will provide a monthly credit of $30 off a combined water and wastewater bill and $15 off a wastewater-only bill for income-qualified customers.

Over $3 Million Available for Projects Improving Air Quality
The Placer County Air Pollution Control District is accepting applications for projects that reduce localized air pollution. Applications are open through May 31.
