Please be aware that TART regional fixed routes are operating on a revised schedule through Dec. 11. Changes have also been made to the TART Connect schedule to accommodate commuters on the West Shore and connect with fixed route services.

TBID Dollars Support Shop Local Program


The “Love North Tahoe” program, a shop local initiative supported by the Business and Chamber Advisory Committee, recently restarted in support of local businesses in North Lake Tahoe and is funded by TOT-TBID Dollars At Work. The intent of Love North Tahoe is to encourage residents and visitors to shop at local stores, dine at neighborhood restaurants, and use nearby services. As the winter season gets underway, not only are North Lake Tahoe resorts continuing their ongoing investments in the skier experience, this year marks significant milestone anniversaries as Sugar Bowl celebrates 85 years, Palisades Tahoe turns 75, Boreal commemorates 60 years, and Tahoe XC starts its 25th year as a nonprofit organization serving the community.

The North Lake Tahoe Marketing Cooperative, a partnership between the North Tahoe Community Alliance and Travel North Tahoe Nevada, has increased its investment in the Make A Clear Difference stewardship campaign for the 24-25 fiscal year, focusing on educating visitors and encouraging all humans to take steps to mitigate their impact on our natural environment.

Supporting Our Hispanic Business Community & Spanish Entrepreneurship


The Tahoe Prosperity Center, Sierra Community House and North Tahoe Chamber are launching a new Spanish-language Entrepreneurship workshop series to broaden support for our local business community. An initial meeting was held in October with local Hispanic business leaders to understand specific needs and how the collaborative can support community members with business advice and where to find information. Upcoming events are planned on Nov. 13 and Dec. 11 and will offer more resources including services available through the Sierra Business Council and local banks. Meetings will take place at the Sierra Community House (265 Bear Street, Kings Beach) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
