Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
When you think back over your life, can you identify a turning point? A turning point is simply a time period or a major event that caused your life to change in a big way. Unfortunately, the change can be negative as well as positive.
We have heard stories about people going from rags to riches as well as from riches to rags. We have heard stories about people having turning points that made them either better or bitter.
A turning point could be getting married or getting a divorce. A turning point could be the birth of a baby or the death of a loved one. It could be getting that ideal job as well as losing any job.
No matter how many turning points you have encountered, the one that should have had the most meaning is the turning point that changed you from a sinner to a saint. At the moment you confessed Jesus as the one who died that you might live and God raised Him from the dead, your spirit changed.
Keep in mind that your physical status remained the same. However, after the Holy Spirit came to live in you, you became a changed person in the sight of God. You became a new creature. And that's the best turning point of all!
