Congratulations to Our Graduating Library Student Employees

Nearly 50 UCSB Library student employees graduated in June. During finals week and commencement, we profiled many of them on digital displays in the Library and on campus, as well as on our social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook and X.

Through the Looking Glass Exhibition

The Current, The Independent and the Daily Nexus featured our recent exhibition "Through the Looking Glass: A Microscopic Look at our Native Bees." The exhibition was on display in the Library in winter and spring quarters.

SRC Hours Extended

To better serve researchers interested in the Library's rare and unique collections, the public hours of our Department of Special Research Collections (SRC) have been extended to Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM. 

New ILL System

On July 1, the UC Libraries migrated to a new Interlibrary Loan (ILL) management system, merging My ILL Requests into My Library Account.

Patrons are now able to view all active ILL and circulation requests and loans, place renewal requests, and view fines and fees on a single platform.
