Palmetto Bay Comedy Festival
This Friday, April 15th, laugh with the hilarious Kira Soltanovich from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and wipe away your tax blues at the first Palmetto Bay Comedy Festival. Comic Cure will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Everglades Foundation. Gates open at 7pm, Ludovici Park.
For a limited time only, the Village of Palmetto Bay is giving away 50 free tickets on a first come, first serve basis. Residents may pick up the tickets at Village Hall during regular hours. No more than 2 tickets will be distributed to a single individual or family.
Earth Week officially begins April 17th, and we have a full line-up of exciting
events, lasting all week!
We are kicking off the celebration with the
Annual Poster Contest. The Village is looking for 5th graders from local schools for our annual poster contest themed “Trees for the Earth.”
Deadline has been extended to April 12th, noon! See contest rules here.
Also, make sure to register for the Bird Walk Workshop, Monday, April 17th!

Negotiations are still underway with the county to bring a Light Rail Transit system to South Dade. The plan was discussed at a recent Town Hall meeting currently showing on WBAY or on demand; also check out this Miami Herald article on the issue.
