COW & DUV Presentation

On Wednesday, July 19th, renowned land planner and architect, Victor Dover of Dover, Kohl, and Partners and Marcela Camblor and Associates, Inc. will make a presentation on the firm’s recommended updates to the Downtown Urban Village Code Regulations during our Committee of the Whole Workshop beginning at 7 pm at Village Hall.  We encourage all residents to attend this important meeting.  Click here to read the Miami Herald's take on the DUV recommendations

Parks & Recreation Month

Parks & Recreation Month is recognized nationwide in July. Discover the power of play and adventure with your family at one of our beautiful parks by participating in a summer camp, sports league, exploring a trail, fitness class, meeting new friends on the playground or simply discovering nature.

Highlights:
  • Registration for Summer Camp and Tennis Camp is ongoing and is available online and at the Coral Reef Park Tennis Window. Online registration for Summer Camp and Tennis Camp will close every Friday at noon and reopen every Monday at 8:00 am. No registrations will be accepted at the Coral Reef Park Tennis Window over the weekends. Click here for more information.
  • The Village of Palmetto Bay's Age-Friendly Initiative is conducting a survey among Palmetto Bay residents age 50 and over to understand the community's views and what we will need as we age in order to make Palmetto Bay a great place to live, work, and play. Responses will be shared with residents, partners, stakeholders, and community leaders, and will help inform an update to our Age-Friendly Action Plan. Please help us by sharing this survey with your community, partners, and networks of individuals age 50 and over and/or by completing the survey
  • The Village of Palmetto Bay Policing Unit is once again offering the rad/KIDS Personal Empowerment and Safety Education program during the week of July 31-August 4 as part of the Village of Palmetto Bay’s Summer Camp at Coral Reef Elementary School. The FREE classes will be held between the hours of 9-11 am, Monday through Friday for children between 5-12 years of age. If you are interested in having your child(ren) participate or would like more information, please contact Officer Peter Judge at (305) 278-4018.
