Render Roomis an installation consisting of sculptures and quasi-functional furniture that is inspired by digital static. As globalization creates homogeneity in design and architecture, Mayer feels that our cities, buildings, and furniture will soon only look like the computer programs in which they were designed. Render Room functions as an environment and a waiting room for clip-art ready graphics to be plopped into renders to show approachability, scale, and livability.
Jillian's work will be included in Miami Beach's inaugural No Vacancy program this fall.
