Presented by Oolite Arts, Rosemarie Chiarlone's Underneath the Monotonous Blanket is an Entire World of Different Voices, explores the physical and psychological boundaries of human connection addressing multifaceted societal and political contexts. This installation consists of eight disconnected sculptural groupings utilizing language as image. The visual graphic and poetic expressions dissipating information allude to the concept of presence and impermanence between the physical and the psychological.

The textual imagery is the result of the absence created by tiny pinholes in the paper. The words and phrases are inscribed by hand into the surface via bi-directional needle puncture.
