In partnership with the BC Chamber of Commerce, CopperTeams.AI is proud to present the AI Edge Program—a 3-month, action-driven training designed to help small to mid-size businesses in BC practically implement AI tools and workflows into their operations. While AI is already woven into our daily lives—from the voice assistants we rely on to the facial recognition that unlocks our phones—Canadian enterprises continue to lag behind their G7 counterparts in adopting these transformative technologies. This gap isn’t just about missed opportunities; it’s holding back Canada’s productivity and competitiveness at a time when AI has shifted from an emerging technology to a fundamental driver of how organizations operate, innovate, and deliver value.

Yes! This Program is Eligible for Grant Funding!

Thanks to the BC Employer Training Grant, BC businesses can access this $4,000 program (member pricing) for just $800/person, bringing enterprise-level AI training within budget for small and mid-size BC businesses.

Embracing Truth: Honouring The National Day for Reconciliation

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day for Canadians to commemorate the history and legacy of the residential school system. It's a day to honour the resilience, dignity and strength of survivors and remember the children who never came home. It's a chance to engage and educate people about B.C.'s colonial history and how it has and continues to impact Indigenous communities.

Committed to its own reconciliation journey and to supporting others to engage in this critical work, the BC Chamber of Commerce invites you to "Embracing Truth: Honouring the National Day for Reconciliation", a virtual event designed to facilitate education, reflection and meaningful dialogue about the history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system in B.C. and across Canada.

The theme of this year's session is "Walking Together: Shared Responsibility on the Path to Reconciliation". Reconciliation is not a one-time act, but an ongoing journey that requires commitment, humility, and shared responsibility. This year, we invite you to walk with us—toward deeper understanding, stronger relationships, and collective action. Through dialogue, education, and lived experience, we will reflect on how we can each play a part in advancing reconciliation in our communities and workplaces.

Are you prepared to manage supply chain disruptions, rising costs, and shifting customer demand?

As U.S. trade policies continue to evolve, small businesses across B.C. are feeling the impact, from supply chain disruptions to rising costs and shifting customer demand. This session will explore how small businesses can adapt to these changes and build long-term resilience in a volatile trade environment. Tickets are complimentary, and this session will be hosted via Zoom webinar.

Food for Thought - Local Perspectives on Food Costs & Insecurity in Squamish

Living Wage BC recently released Food for Thought: Why is food so expensive in BC, and what can be done about it? Funded by Vancouver Coastal Health, the report explores root causes such as climate change, supply chain disruptions, and corporate concentration in the grocery sector. Factors that make our food system more fragile and less fair.

Local voices included

Though province-wide in scope, the report reflects perspectives from Squamish gathered through Kitchen Table Talks with community partners, including Squamish Helping Hands Society, Squamish Senior Living Society, Squamish Climate Action Network, Howe Sound School District #48, Squamish Welcome Centre, and Sea to Sky Community Services. The Squamish Community Foundation helped bring participants together for these sessions with the Living Wage BC team, which included seniors, people living with disabilities, migrant and low-wage workers, and new parents.
