Student Panel Discussion Meeting: Adapting to the New Academic Challenges of Remote College
Are you having some difficulties or some new-found successes in adapting to online and remote learning? If so, you’re not alone! Please join us for a student panel discussion on the joys and irritations of remote learning for those of us who love being part of a residential campus community. The student panel will be answering your questions about what has worked for each of them, what have been their obstacles, tips they have learned for surviving and thriving, and will share their experience and strength with us. Join Counseling Services for our Student Support Circle on Thursdays
The Student Support Circle is a forum for W&J students who are interested in talking with other students about how they are doing this week. Discussions will be led by Dr. Shelly Lear, Director of the Counseling Service. Topics will include weekly highs and lows, coping strategies, things we’ve learned, helpful tips for mental health, academic success, and personal mental health coping in a time of extended isolation. We’ll also discuss any other topics that students might find useful, including humor, gratitude, and a closing brief meditation.
All W&J students are welcome, and you don’t need to register in advance — you can just drop in at 11 a.m. on Thursdays via the

Student Athlete Support Group
The student-athletes at W&J remain on our minds. After the cancellation of spring seasons and the sudden end of athletic careers, many students may be feeling disappointed, confused, and unsure of how to fill their time. In an effort to provide additional support, Student Counseling will be offering drop in

for student-athletes on Wednesdays at 10:00 am.

Be a Leader with the Washington Fellows
The Washington Fellows is looking for self-starting individuals to help shape our
Executive Board
for the academic year 2020-2021, which will be a year of community building within the program. As an executive board member, you will have the opportunity to work on a board seeking to provide experiences for Fellows to define for themselves our program values (Leadership, Integrity, Humanity, Thought) in ways that they will use for the rest of their lives. Stipends will be available, and Fellows members are encouraged to apply.

Find Theatre Online for Free!
The Clark Family Library has a free trial to the database Drama Online, and now is the time to enjoy access to over 1700 plays! Included are 400 streaming audio performances as well as videos of live performances. Books on theatre craft is also featured.
The database is searchable in multiple ways including genre, period, and playwright. Featured are collections from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Oscar Wilde, and the National Theatre. Drama Online is available now through May 31, 2020 and can be accessed through the
library's A-Z Database list.

Q: I have a student worker position on campus. Will I be compensated during this time?
A:
If you successfully obtained an on-campus job prior to spring break and you logged hours and submitted a time sheet for those hours, you will qualify to receive a flat rate of pay equivalent to 10 hours/week and 20 hours/pay period for the remainder of the semester. Students who have worked an on-campus job for the Spring 2020 semester are eligible for this stipend.
You will not need to submit a timesheet during the remote instruction period for the guaranteed flat rate of pay equivalent to 10 hours/week and 20 hours/pay period.
