Marina Coast Water District continues to provide water, recycled water, and sewer collection in a safe, reliable manner during storms, as well as help our neighboring communities in their time of need.
The water in Marina and the Ord Community is safe and clean. All of the District's water sources (wells) are protected from floodwater intrusion and other contaminants by a variety of natural and physical barriers. For example, they are all sealed at the base and are well above flood levels. The wells also draw water from very deep—between 400 and 900 feet. We are monitoring the wells closely and would shut them down if unusually high flood waters threaten them.
