At Your Service

As we continue to keep you informed and stay engaged with you about your water system (Madden Creek Water System), we want to remind you the water system has surpassed its useful life. We are actively investing in your water system, and we have initiated project implementation for its full reconstruction.

One planned improvement includes installing new water meters for all connections with modern, advanced metering technology, called Smart Meters. Metering leads to long-term water conservation efforts, offers a more sustainable approach to managing your water system, and complies with state law. One significant benefit of metering your water system with Smart Meters is early leak detection. These meters provide TCPUD and customers the ability to monitor water use in real-time to detect leaks and evaluate consumption patterns and trends, giving customers a tool to adjust their water consumption.

Other planned water system improvements include:

·       Replacing 3.5 miles of water mains.

·       Replacing 124 water service lines.

·       Installing 32 new fire hydrants.

The Project will be constructed in a multi-phased construction schedule. The cost to fully reconstruct the water system is currently estimated at $12.8 million. We are evaluating funding options and will provide additional details as we learn more.
