LEESVILLE, La.-- Saturday, November 7, will be a busy day in Leesville. 

Friends of Leesville Main Street invites you to their annual Gumbo Cookoff this year at Booker Lewis House at 106 E. North Street. Come enjoy live music and tasty gumbo as competitors vie for the privilege of being named this year's best. Judging begins at noon, and serving will begin soon after. Tickets are $2 for each tasting. Rivers of Living Water will be hosting a Fall Festival at 509 North 3rd Street in Leesville. Hosted by Men Be Men Ministry, the event will provide food, music, fellowship, basketball, games, prizes and roasted marshmallows from 5-8 p.m.

Derby Daze Derby Car Race and Classic Car Show on Third Street in downtown Leesville promises to be a fun time, with practice and time trials beginning at 8 a.m. and races beginning at 10 a.m. Visit the Lulu Steet Soap Box Derby Racers on Facebook for more information. In the event of inclement weather, information will be posted there.
