Dear St. Matthew’s Friends,

We have a big Sunday ahead! I am delighted to experience my first Pig Roast with you all. This beloved parish event will follow the 11 am service. There will be tons of food (including other meat options, vegetarian options, and sides for those who do not eat pork) and outdoor entertainment for kids. We have a contingency plan for inclement weather, so join us rain or shine!

Bishop Richard Lawson will also be presiding and preaching at both of our services. We are delighted to have him offer a special forum at 10 am between the services (during which children and youth will have Sunday School in the Christian Education building) and to stay for the Pig Roast. During the 11 am service, we will have confirmations, receptions, reaffirmations, and baptisms.

It is a joy to see the ways that the Spirit is moving at St. Matthew’s, and I cannot wait to see what is next.

Social Justice Pilgrimage to Washington DC

March 8-12, 2027

Church of the Nativity in Huntsville is organizing a Social Justice Pilgrimage to Washington DC from March 8-12, 2027. They are looking for a few more folks to sign up. Interested? Church Office Lunch Hours

Please note that the church office is closed from 12-1 pm daily for lunch except on Wednesday, when it is closed from 1-2 pm. If you have donations for the food pantry or items that you need to leave at the church, you are welcome to leave them outside the front door and the staff will bring them inside when they return from lunch.

Sunday Worship: 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM

Sunday School: 10:00 AM

Wednesdays: Noon

Nursery is available for Sunday services and Sunday school.

Welcome, Miles!

We are delighted to announce that Miles Parsons is our new Communications Director. Miles brings more than 30 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, and communications. He has served as Communications Director for both St. Mary’s-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church and The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama.
