A new way to welcome in Shabbat! Join us for a catered Shabbat dinner and learn about justice with Rabbi Zedek. Shabbat blessings and Kaddish will be included in the evening; this event replaces the Erev Shabbat service. Space is limited. Pease register by January 7. Cost including dinner is $18 per adult.
Sermon Topic: "Tzedek, Tzedek Tirdof" (Justice, Justice, you shall pursue): More than my namesake (Zedek and Tzedek are the same word), the challenge of contributing to a better and more just world is always with us. The annual MLK commemorations are meant to be much more than lip service to that commitment. If we are to fulfill our mission to be "a light to the nations," then there is always work to be done.

From the Klein Collection: Ketubah | |
Unlike any other marriage contract in the Klein Collection, this Italian example from 1802 has the text of the tenaim (agreements made at the couple’s engagement) alongside the text of the ketubah. It comes from Pisa, which had a Jewish community of around 300 people at the time it was made.
Want to learn more about the Klein Collection or schedule a group tour? Contact Abby Magariel at curator@bnaijehudah.org for more information.
