March Highlights

Sixty people from the Bon Air UMC Team attended the Nehemiah Action Event this past Tuesday night, alongside Mayor Avula, other elected officials from RVA, and 2,000 others committed to working for justice in our community. THANK YOU to Rob Bowers for driving the BAUMC bus, and thank you to everyone who attended, because ‘Justice Demands RISC!’

Easter Egg Hunt: The Children's Council is excited to sponsor this year's Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 29th, at 10am during the Sunday School hour.

Maundy Thursday: April 2nd at 7:00pm.

Good Friday: April 3rd at Noon at Bon Air Church of Christ (2071 Buford Rd.).

Easter Sunday: April 5th. Worship at 9:00am & 11:00am. Easter Sunday is the day when Christians celebrate the power of God to establish and sanctify our Christian faith. Therefore, Easter is a meaningful day to partake in the sacrament of communion, baptize the faithful and their children, and for people to formally join this church! To learn more, contact Rev. Upcoming Highlights

Joy House RVA needs teams to mow the grass each week. There are four nice, safe, free-standing houses in South Richmond that serve as Joy House homes for women in transition. Just like at your house, the grass at each Joy House needs a weekly cut. Lawnmowers are available at each house. Your group, Sunday School class, choir, Bible study, AA, NA group, etc., could adopt a single home for the entire grass-growing season to help support our women in transition. Our first Sunday Family Volunteer Workday will be April 19th at the Mary Beth Graff (MBG) Heart Havens Home located at 2520 Powderhorn Dr. in Varina. We will be removing leaves, cleaning the gutters, mulching, and planting spring flowers. We will meet at MBG at 11:30am following the 9:00am worship and Sunday School. Please contact Lee Price at bethechangeclp@verizon.net to join the team that day.

The BAUMC building will be closed on Tuesday, April 21st, because we are a voting precinct for the Special Election. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
