April Highlights

• Tomorrow, Sunday, April 12th, we will be collecting the offering for $2 for Missions (postponed from the original scheduled date of March 29 to avoid conflicts with Holy Week). This collection is intended to further our mission contributions by asking each member to set aside $2 each week for mission support. We have 3 special collections each year or you may contribute at any time by writing a check to Bon Air UMC Missions or by using the drop box for online giving on our web page. If you are giving this Sunday, please bring your check or envelope for missions to the alter during the singing of the first hymn and place it in the basket. If you are giving at the suggested rate of $2 per week, then $24 will be the amount covering the first quarter of this year. Any amount you give is appreciated! 

• Joy House RVA needs teams to mow the grass each week. There are four nice, safe, free-standing houses in South Richmond that serve as Joy House homes for women in transition. Just like at your house, the grass at each Joy House needs a weekly cut. Lawnmowers are available at each house. Your group, Sunday School class, choir, Bible study, AA, NA group, etc., could adopt a single home for the entire grass-growing season to help support our women in transition. • Another Women's Treasure by Change the World RVA: April 17th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on April 18th from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the Bon Air UMC Gym.

• Our first Sunday Family Volunteer Workday will be April 19th at the Mary Beth Graff (MBG) Heart Havens Home located at 2520 Powderhorn Dr. in Varina. We will be removing leaves, cleaning the gutters, mulching, and planting spring flowers. We will meet at MBG at 11:30am following the 9:00am worship and Sunday School. Please contact Lee Price at bethechangeclp@verizon.net to join the team that day.  

• The BAUMC building will be closed on Tuesday, April 21st, because we are a voting precinct for the Special Election. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Pick up:

Plant pick-up is on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Bon Air United Methodist Church parking lot, 1645 Buford Road, Richmond, VA,23235. Your order will be loaded into your car one color at a time. To sign up for a pickup time, please copy and paste this link into your search bar:  https://signup.com/go/LidFoLM.  After choosing a pickup time, another screen will appear to enter the driver’s name,their phone number, and the church’s name; if there is a church with the same name, please enter an identifier (such as a county); ifpicking up as an individual or for a group, enter the individual’s or group name. If you want confirmation, please enter your email. Theinformation entered will not be sold or given out.  If more than one person is picking up flowers, please email Susan Johnston at ksngal@aol.com to let her know the drivers’ names.
