Socially distanced and masks on everyone but the swan. The Leadership Academy graduation was different than previous years but just as meaningful. Congratulations to Erin, Gail, Felisha, Brian, Brandi, Stuart, Paul, and Jared. This was another great group of “students”. Applications will be available early November for the 2021 class. |

FINALLY ! Let’s support another member whose business is finally allowed to open. Call Mt. Hood Lanes, Inc to make an appointment to bowl. There is plenty of room (45 people safely in the building at one time) but they need to manage the flow. Wearing your mask is required by the state, except when you are eating or drinking at the alley. A great homework assignment (math, exercise, character lessons, etc.) for those kids you are home schooling. Slower from 1-4pm but open from 1 to 9:30pm.

Busy month for the three thoughtful and amazing speakers who joined us at the Economics: Black Leadership Business and Leaders Luncheon. Speakers Dr. Al McQuarters, Travis Stovall, and Mingus Mapps each brought a different perspective on economics and were transparent in their presentation. If you missed it, check the chamber website. It will not be a waste of time! Thanks again to them for a great hour on Zoom.

Are there tips for improving my gas mileage?
For improved gas mileage keep a clean engine air filter, proper tire pressure in your tires, your spark plugs changed at the recommended interval and a gas cap with a good seal. Driving the speed limit, no excessive acceleration and coasting to stops will also help to increase your mileage per gallon.

ENTERPRISE
Wide-open grassy meadows surround the town of Enterprise, with pine forests to the north and the Wallowa Mountains to the south.
A historic lodge, cabins, camping and a tramway to the top of the mountain lie at the south end of Wallowa Lake. To the east is one of the earth’s deepest gorges, Hells Canyon. The Hells Canyon National Recreation Area offers excellent opportunities for hiking, camping, horseback riding and truly getting away from it all. Enterprise and the surrounding area are also a hub of Western bronze art, with three bronze foundries and many artists calling the area home.
