Summer programs have been cut, eliminated or altered dramatically. Just a few years ago we had a world series team from Gresham. This year many sports fields will be empty or underutilized. But expenses continue. What youth program you can help navigate through the crisis? We have many youth programs that need help.
Gresham-Barlow Youth Baseball/Softball
is just one of the many chamber members trying to meet expenses.
As an example, click here
. Buying pepperoni has never been such a high priority.

Notable and Potentially Helpful Adjustments to PPP Loans
Last week, the Senate passed HR7010, which made some changes to the PPP Loans. The most notable of those changes are:
- The 75% amount for payroll has been lowered to 60%, leaving more flexibility on how to spend money.
- Penalties and calculations for the reduction in work force - June 30th rolled back to December 31st.
The Devil is always in the details. On the surface, this is good news for some. But remember, while expenses might "qualify" for use of the funds, they might not be in the "loan forgiveness" category. Check with your tax consultant for legal advice. And keep really good records!

Is is really necessary to change my timing belt at the manufacturer-recommended interval?
YES. The failure of a timing belt in many cars can result in major engine damage. The cost of repairing an engine with a broken timing belt is much greater than the cost of a timing belt replacement.

Press Release: Rivermark Donates Additional $10,000 to Oregon Food Bank
While Oregon Food Banks' 1,400 food assistance sites are experiencing 20-70% increases in people accessing food assistance, their need for support has never been greater. “Our donation alone won’t bridge the gap, but together with other businesses that are surviving the pandemic, we can make a real difference,” said Rivermark President and CEO Seth Schaefer

What to Know About Oregon's Outdoors Right Now
Many local parks, natural areas and boat ramps are now open, however, certain facilities like playgrounds, courts, skateparks and restrooms may remain closed. While dispersed recreation is allowed on some public land (except dispersed camping in
state forests
), trailheads and traditional access points for hunting and fishing might be closed. Most state and national parks, campgrounds, developed federal recreation sites and facilities (such as trailheads, visitor centers and restrooms) and group day-use areas like picnic shelters remain closed. Some beach access may not be open so check before you go. Visitors need to
be prepared
before going to recreation sites and
take care
while there.
