Friday AM’s are back to 7:22. Here are a few tips to help get the most out of the early morning networking.
- Get on a few minutes early. It give you a chance to settle yourself. Plus you get to chat with people as you drink your coffee or hot chocolate.
- Mute yourself immediately, and give yourself a minute or two to get settled. Then unmute, if appropriate, and chat.
- If you have pets that are calm and easy to manage, keep them out. If they’ll be a distraction you don’t want, change rooms, kennel the dog, or simply find an area where you’re comfortable and free from distraction.
- Save eating for off camera. Feel free to indulge in breakfast if needed, but shut your video off while you’re eating or move out of the frame.
- We all have things happen. Understand you can shut off camera and sound and still be on the call if you have a pet, child, or other issue to deal with briefly.
- People are understanding of this current reality. It’s okay to jump on and off a call if needed.
- Remember, you ARE on camera. If you fix your hair, make faces, or use your camera as a mirror, others are seeing
