Mayor Bemis, a die hard U of O fan, received an OSU puzzle at the 2018 Summit. Mayor Bemis will be missed for his good-natured attitude as well as his leadership. (BTW, his oldest son will be a freshman at OSU this fall. They are now officially a Beavers/Ducks family.)
What’s open in Phase 1? It isn't only restaurants for sit-down meals. Other members can welcome clients and customers – for example, Mt. Hood Lanes, Inc.!
Thank you to all of the non-profits and volunteers that went above and beyond during the past three months. The Salvation Army Gresham Corps teamed up with East Hill Church to pass out hundreds of food boxes to local residents.
Pleas and Thank You
(Please and Thank You)
Many of you sent personal stories and comments to Chair Kafoury and Commissioner Stegmann a week or so ago. In a way, pleas went out to them from you. Now is time to say thank you.
Drop a quick note of thanks to them for their efforts to open.
Use micro-fiber cloths. Wet surface before wiping. Soapy water is the safest cleaning solution; rinse with plain water and blot dry. Avoid ammonia-based products, like Windex, because they will damage the surface.
This is a very serious problem. If your car overheats for too long, it can damage your engine. As soon as possible, find a safe place to pull off the road and shut off the engine! Do not attempt to check the fluid level in the radiator as it can burn you. The best thing to do is have your car towed to a repair shop.
Contact a professional and have them assess the area and write up a detailed plan
If possible, stay out of the affected area
Turn off the HVAC system and fans
Don't spray bleach or other disinfectants on the mold
Travel Oregon
Ultimate RV Road Trip Through Central Oregon
With more scenic byways and tour routes than any other state, Oregon is a perfect destination for RVers. My family and I have been RVing for more than a decade and have crossed the country three times. Still, our favorite road trips run through our home state of Oregon — among them, this route through Central Oregon. Read more here.
Editor’s note: Call ahead to make sure the attractions and businesses you might want to visit are open before you go. Restaurants and cafes may be open for takeout only. Plan now for your future trip, when it’s safe to travel again.
