New Schools. New Mission. Chamber President Stayce Blume was invited to speak at the Gresham Barlow School District Convocation in August. Dr. Perera is doing a great job energizing and guiding the district as well as continuing to build a strong partnership with the Chamber.
Exchanging gifts is a long standing tradition in the sister city program. Mayor Bemis exchanging one of several gifts at the recent Sokcho visit.
Gresham and Sokcho will celebrate 35 years as sister cities in 2020.
Council President Kirk French accepts a gift during the lunch celebration with the Sokcho representatives. Luncheon was held at the Gresham Museum.

Painted Hills : Named for the delicate layers of reds, yellows, golds and blacks in its soil, the Painted Hills is one of the three units that make up the  John Day Fossil Beds National Monument . Seeing the hills makes you feel a bit like you’ve stepped onto another planet, though you’re actually taking a peek into our own earth’s history. The sunset hues of the hills are ever-changing with moisture and light levels, making each visit to them different. Read more Here!
