BCC Packs Food for Local Children - Donations Welcome
Barrington Children's Charities (BCC) doubled its distribution of "Blessings in a Backpack" bags last week, providing extra food to 1500 local children in need with the help of District 220 employees, volunteers and donors. BCC Co-Founder Darby Hills was recently interviewed by WGN News about continuing the process in the coming weeks. Donations and sponsorships from businesses and individuals are appreciated. BADC Urges Asking Congress to Give Nonprofits Emergency Aid
The Barrington Area Development Council is urging everyone to promptly visit the Independent Sector Policy Action Center website to tell legislators that Congress must provide emergency aid to nonprofit organizations in any COVID-19 legislation. 
This can be accomplished by expanding charitable giving and providing organizations with grants, loans, and tax credits. Asking will take 30 seconds and can help secure billions of dollars in critical funding for our communities. Click here.
Help for Home of the Sparrow
Hope of the Sparrow is requesting immediate help for its shelter and the program services it provides to homeless women with children, single women and pregnant women in Northern Illinois. With closings and laying off staff, they are struggling to provide services. Click here for details.
