Getting involved in the Commitment to Conservation Program is a powerful way to celebrate and protect the unique natural beauty and ecological richness of the Blue Ridge mountains. By committing to sustainable, eco-friendly practices, businesses help preserve biodiversity, support clean water and healthy ecosystems, and show leadership in community stewardship — all while gaining recognition and networking opportunities through the program.

April Member Spotlight -

Habitat for Humanity of Fannin & Gilmer Counties

Habitat for Humanity of Fannin & Gilmer Counties is our Member Spotlight for April. They have been a member of the Fannin Chamber serving our community for almost 30 years. Habitat for Humanity of Fannin & Gilmer Counties envisions a world where everyone has a safe, decent place to call home. Through its programs, families gain the opportunity to become homeowners while learning valuable skills in financial wellness and basic home maintenance. Partner families help build their own homes alongside dedicated volunteers, creating a strong sense of pride and community. In addition, Habitat offers a community Repair Program that addresses major safety issues and critical home repairs, helping residents remain in secure, livable homes. Volunteers play a vital role in the organization’s daily work — from construction and repairs to sponsoring lunches and donating water or snacks — making community support the foundation of their success. Be sure to visit the Habitat Re-Store or consider donating items to support their mission.
