THIS SUNDAY:

Let There Be Light
Part 2: Light Over the Lies
Text: Luke 2:10; Matthew 4:1-11

The world is full of voices that speak darkness over our lives—lies that say we’re too broken to be loved, too far gone to be forgiven, or too insignificant to matter.

Satan, the father of lies, wants us to believe that the shadows have the final word.

But Jesus, the Light of the World, has come to overpower every lie with truth. Where the enemy whispers shame, Jesus declares we are forgiven and cherished. Where fear says tomorrow will only be worse, Jesus promises He is already there. Where despair insists the darkness is permanent, the risen Christ proclaims, “I have overcome the world.”

As we continue our Advent journey, let’s choose to listen to the voice of the One who is the Truth, walk in the light He gives, and watch the lies lose their power.

The Light shines in the darkness—and the darkness has not, and will not, overcome it.

ONE THING PROJECT

We have partnered with Jones County DFCS again this year to help provide families with Christmas Dinner! There will be a tree in the back of the Worship Center this Sunday with ornaments that will list the family members and ages as well as a list of suggested items for the food baskets. We ask that you would contribute $15 to go towards the purchase of a ham and place that in the money box on the table. Remember it is "from our family to yours" so personalize it however you like!
