Club meeting highlights 12-22-2020

Our club is responding to covid health concerns by following guidelines to be safe and prepared.

President-Elect Karen Hurst called the zoom meeting to order.
Welcome our newest member Kim Gaide!
DCM-Fort Myers Beach and Lt. Governor Tina Pegler hosted on December 17th, thank you to the 5 members that represented our club by Zoom. Kiwanis International President Art Riley was the guest speaker.
We still have 2 - $50.00 gift certificates that were donated by Prawnbroker to benefit the Bug Race Fundraiser. They can be used at Prawnbroker/Timbers/University Grill or Matzaluna. Take out or eat in. Interested? See Todd.
The BUG Chase 5K The portal is open for runners to sign up for this years virtual 5K run/walk. The virtual "race" has already begun, now it's up to you to recruit runners and walkers. Consider sponsoring someone. First 200 also receive a fun participant medal. Click here to sign up You may register until January 23rd. Age 17 and under only $20, all others $30.
No meeting December 29th. Happy New Year to all. See you on Zoom Jan 5th at 7pm. We'd love to see some of you that have been idle. We miss you!
Who do you know that wants to join Kiwanis? Last call to take advantage of the no cost to join until December 31 (applications must be in by the 28th).

Links for meetings will be sent out weekly. If you don't want to participate on Zoom you can just call in and be part of it. Speakers and other activities will be incorporated into upcoming meetings. You can use your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Steve Hess has volunteered to help talk you through it, just give him a ring.

Literacy Buddies: next book due January 15th. If you have Amazon Prime consider sending to your child this method. You can also add a note.

CKI Club- at FGCU, meeting virtually and planning service projects (Stewart Ross).

Key Club-Collegiate High on FSW campus. (Erin McNulty and Linda Petrik).

Virtual on Monday's at 5pm.

Builder's Club- Cypress Lake Middle, on hold. (Barbara Hartman).

K-Kids- Littleton Elementary, on hold. (Kim Berghs)
