MAZON: A JEWISH RESPONSE TO HUNGER |
Every year on Passover, we proclaim, "Let all who are hungry come and eat." As we reflect on a year of suffering for so many and begin to recover, this proclamation is more important than ever. The pandemic has exposed many harsh realities in our country, including one that MAZON has known to be true for their entire 36-year existence: too many Americans are either facing hunger, or are at risk of experiencing food insecurity.
MAZON is committed as ever to solidifying a world where no one faces hunger - regardless of their racial, social, or economic background.
This Passover, we invite you to join MAZON in asking a new Fifth Question during the Seder: "How will we retell the story of this past year, and all it has wrought? How will we retell the story of this past year, and all we have learned?"
For more information about MAZON'S Fifth Question or hosting a Hunger Seder and more, you can click here. |

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT
|
Did you know . . .
that it is customary to donate at the time of Yizkor or when Kaddish is recited in memory of a loved one? It is also customary to make a donation when given an aliyah (honor) during a service.
Jewish Philanthropy: The Concept of Tzedakah is a much-admired practice throughout the world. "In Jewish tradition, tzedakah requires the donor share his or her compassion and empathy along with the money. Judaism teaches the belief that donors benefit from tzedakah as much [as] or more than the recipients."
You can find out more about the roots and practices of Jewish philanthropy at Learning to Give.
