Commissioner Hardemon sponsored legislation on March 2, 2021, to approve the acquisition of vacant land located at 830 NE 89 street to the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, for expansion of North Shorecrest Park.
Future development of this land, which is adjacent to the established park, may include amenities such as play fields, fitness equipment, park furniture and landscaping. This acquisition not only makes use of unutilized ground but increases the public green space that can be enjoyed by residents.
