Our January Giving Focus

❤️🩸❤️

A new year brings fresh opportunities to make a meaningful difference, and this January, Hearts of Miromar is proud to support the Lee Health Blood Center during National Blood Donor Month ❤️

This month’s giving focus highlights the vital role the Blood Center plays in keeping our community healthy and cared for — every single day.

How Your Gift Makes an Impact

Your generosity will help fund a new, state-of-the-art scheduling system for the Lee Health Blood Center, improving how lifesaving blood is collected, managed, and delivered to Lee Health hospitals, Golisano Children’s Hospital, and patients throughout our region.

To participate, simply make checks payable to Lee Health Foundation and include “Blood Bank” on the memo line.

Every contribution helps keep our local blood supply strong, reliable, and ready when it’s needed most. Thank you for giving from the heart — it truly saves lives. 💕

Book Club Buzz - Turn the Page with Us!

We’re starting the year strong with two can’t-miss book club gatherings — one delightfully heartwarming, the other deliciously suspenseful

Monday, January 26

Barb Day invites us to kick things off with Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt — a charming, laugh-out-loud story filled with friendship, second chances, and a giant Pacific octopus who absolutely steals the show. It’s the perfect feel-good read to warm up our winter evenings.

Then, get ready to switch gears in February…

Monday, February 23

Kay Horst will lead our discussion of The God of the Woods by Liz Moore, a gripping literary thriller set in the Adirondacks. When a teenage girl disappears from a summer camp, long-buried family secrets, class tensions, and power dynamics rise to the surface. Told through multiple perspectives, this haunting story explores love, inheritance, and the possibility of second chances — all wrapped in an unforgettable mystery.

All book club meetings take place at the Bellavista Clubhouse at 5:30 PM.

Mark your calendars, grab your books (or load up your Kindle), and join us for great conversation, great stories, and even better company. Who’s ready to read along?
