It's time to start thinking about Christmas and Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child!
Our Shoebox Packing Party is being held on Sunday, November 24 th , following service. Come join us in Fellowship Hall and put together a shoebox for a child in need. The cost is only $9 to cover the shipping fee. If you can't make the event and still want to pack a shoebox yourself, please have it at the church by November 24 th in order to have it sent to the distribution center. The Catskill Ecumenical Council will be packing up "Thanksgiving Baskets" for those in need starting on Sunday, November 24 th . They will also be here on the 25 th to finish packing them up to be distributed on the 26 th . Please consider donating gravy, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables and stuffing mix. It also would be great if any one has the time to stop by and lend a helping hand!

This Connect Group has been meeting on Thursday evenings at 6:30. They are working with the American Heart Association (in connection with the Children's Heart Foundation) on a project called "Little Hats, Big Hearts". Volunteers from around the country are knitting and crocheting adorable red hats for babies that are born in February. They are looking to make 100 hats and would greatly appreciate donations of red yarn. On September 1, Hurricane Dorian delivered a devastating blow to two major islands – Grand Bahama and Abaco.
The death toll in the Bahamas has risen to 50 people. It's expected to rise further — 1,300 people are missing, according to the country's National Emergency Management Agency. The UN says more than 70,000 people on Abaco and Grand Bahama need lifesaving assistance.

This is a time for the Christian Community to come together and support our neighbors in need. We are collecting funds, along with the Catskill School District, to help in some way with the effort to restore what has been lost and destroyed in the Bahamas. All monies donated will go directly to Samaritan's Purse Hurricane Dorian Relief.

Please, your support is greatly needed! To donate, you can make your checks payable to Community Life Church but make sure to write "Bahamas Hurricane Relief" on the memo line. You can also give online by clicking here . Go to the "Give To:" field, click on the drop down arrow and select "Bahamas Hurricane Relief".
