Join Us! NJ Devils Ice Hockey Game
CUMC Community Ministry is sponsoring a NJ Devils Ice Hockey game on Saturday, February 9
th
at 1:00 PM at the Prudential Center in Newark.
The cost will be $50 per person and will include transportation. The NJ Devils do a great job of making their games a family focused and interactive event. It will be a fun intergenerational and family outing! Please meet at the church at 11:00 AM for those wishing to use group transport. A sign up sheet can be found on the bulletin board across from Jeff's office. You may also call the office to sign up.

- Wednesday, January 16th, Mindfulness Practices, 7:30 PM Asbury Room Join us for some conversation about, and experience of practices that can calm our fears, center ourselves and become more aware. Some call this mindfulness. Some call it good mental health practice. Some call it spiritual formation. Some call it prayer. Either way, it can be very beneficial, healthy, practical and good. All are welcome. No experience necessary. Facilitator: Rev. Jeff Markay Our group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 7:30 - 8:30 PM in the Asbury Room.

Sock Tree 2018 Update!
Our beautiful Sock Tree that donned our stairwell collected 110 pairs of new, warm socks for those in need for this winter. Thank you to all of those who donated. Members of CUMC once again shared with those in need. Well done and thank you! ~Marie Watt

Luminaries in Celebration of
Dr. Martin Luther King

Please join us for the 2

Annual community event and help foster a community that is hopeful, connected, and kind.
The event will take place at the Library of the Chathams on Sunday January 20
th
from 2:30-4:30pm
.
At the event, you'll get your luminary kit and decorate it with messages of peace, love, and hope, while in the good company of your neighbors!

We ask that everyone light their luminaries at 5pm on the night of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 21
