A Sweet Friendship Refreshes the Soul. ~Proverbs 27:9
Dear Friends,
Even though I’ve only been pastor here at the Chatham UMC for 5 years, it is one of my delights to meet members and friends of the Chatham UMC who have moved away. I enjoy hearing their stories of faith and community that they enjoyed during their time at Chatham UMC. This summer, it was my delight to have brief visits with:
Carl Frahn in Homer, NY, Carol Schroppe in Chautauqua, NY,
and Jaque Bruno in Toronto. (photos above)

If you have any pictures of your visits with former parishioners from the Chatham UMC, send them to me. Perhaps we can put them all up on our Facebook page, or in house bulletin board. It is good to keep connected with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Ways to Help Make a Difference this Summer in our CUMC community and beyond
Saturday, September 8 th
The Chatham Emergency Squad will be hosting a blood drive in conjunction with the C hatham Sustainability Fair/Farmer’s Market on Saturday, September 8 th. The farmer’s market is in the south parking lot of the Chatham Train Station.  Hours of donation will be from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Donors, ages 17 - 76, should be in good health and have a form of identification. Sixteen year olds may donate with parental permission - forms will be available on-site. Anyone with donation questions or who like to make a reserved donation time can call the NY Blood Center at 800.688.0900.

Blood donations typically fall during the summer while the need remains high. Additionally, local blood may find its way across the nation to areas with extreme need due to natural disasters or extreme medical emergencies.

Thank you for your assistance in providing critical blood donations.
