Little Dresses for Africa

Share N Care

Thanks to all the people who donated fabric, trims, and sewing time to ShareNCare’s Little Dresses for Africa project this year. We have sent 170 dresses to be shipped to a place they are needed. If you would like to join us on Wednesday mornings from 9-11, we will be making new kits in June. This month we are finishing projects for Midwest Missions. All are welcome. See Sharon Billmeyer for more information about donations or ways to help.

WI Annual Conference - Child Care Providers

Each Annual Conference session presents us with unique opportunities and challenges. As we approach the 2026 Annual Conference session, we find our community in need of support in our childcare area. Despite our best efforts and intentions of working with a local childcare company, we find ourselves in need of pivoting and providing this critical care through our own systems. Because of this, we are reaching out to our clergy and churches that are within reasonable commuting distances from our Annual Conference to seek your help in finding qualified staff that we can hire to support this ministry. If you, or someone you know, would be a qualified match who can make the commitment of working some of our childcare shifts, we want to welcome you in so that we might serve our Conference together.

Thank you for your willingness to serve! Please review the schedule below and indicate the time slot(s) you are available to volunteer. There will be compensation for providing the childcare services.

This event follows Safe Sanctuaries practices and will require a background check to ensure the safety and well-being of all children and volunteers.

• All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Meadowridge Snack Attack

May 18

The Thursday Morning Men’s Group will fix sandwiches and deliver snacks on Monday, May 18th. Donations for sandwich-making and other snack items are available. Here is the link for details and the sign-up. Items are due by Sunday, May 17th. The signups are also accessible by our website at: https://www.sugarriverumc.org/about-5, or by navigating to the SERVE dropdown. We post the new signups there monthly. You can also give directly to the Meadowridge Snack Attack Mission by going here and selecting Meadowridge Library Snack Attack. This allows us to purchase any additional items we may need each month. 

Mission Guatemala Information Session

Our next mission trip to Guatemala is January 9-16, 2027 and planning has begun! Please join us after worship on May 24 to get more information about how you can be a part of this amazing experience.
