Winter Storm Monitoring

We are aware of the winter storm that is expected to move into our area this weekend and are keeping a close eye on the weather conditions. The safety of our congregation and community is our top priority.

At this time, we are planning to hold services as scheduled. However, in the unlikely event that weather conditions make it unsafe to gather in person, we will notify everyone as soon as possible. Any updates or changes will be shared through emails from Realm and Constant Contact (the E-Source).

If we are unable to meet in person, we will worship online on our YouTube channel, so that everyone can participate from home.

Part-time Facilities Manager Position Available

Do you know someone who might be interested in a paid part-time position available as a facilities Manager? We are looking for some who can work independently and is able to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking, bending, climbing and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Contact Pastor Mike or Angela Guthrie, Chair of SPRT with any questions.

The job position is available on Indeed.

Share N Care

Share N Care has empty totes that we are trying to fill. We need clean quilting cottons and clean flannel fabric. The cottons need to be at least 6inches by width of fabric. The flannel can be scraps that are 9 to 10 inches in each direction or yardage. We are also looking for heavier weight fabric for One handled bags……think drapery, corduroy, canvas and denim weight. So if you or your friends are doing spring cleaning, drop off your fabric at the Connection Center and it will be put to use for Little Dresses and Midwest Mission projects.

Share n Care works on these projects on Wednesday mornings from 9-11 if you would like to join us. No sewing skills are needed as we assemble kits for people to sew at home.

We are also looking for heavier weight plastic bags for the sleeping mats. Metcalfe’s and Menard bags are great. We use those for the weft of our mats to make them stronger. We have plenty of the lighter bags at this time. The loom will be moving back upstairs but we hope you have been motivated to stop by and weave. It is a great mental health activity and even more so if you do it with a friend.

If you have questions, contact Sharon Billmeyer.
