Longest Night Service 

Sunday, December 21 at 530pm

Grief and loss come in many different forms. We all experience them differently. And it can be lonely to feel the impact of these experiences when the whole world seems to be celebrating during the holiday season. The Longest Night Service is a service to acknowledge hurt, pain and loss during a time of year that is typically joyous and full. All who yearn for a sacred space to grieve and lay down their sorrows and struggles while surrounded by the love and grace of God as well as the compassion and support of a community of faith are invited to the Longest Night Service. Come as you are. All are welcome!

The Heart That Grew Three Sizes Advent Study

Starts December 3, 6:30pm

Interested in joining a short-term small group for fellowship with others? Looking for an opportunity to dive a little deeper into the theme and message you hear in worship on Sunday morning? Pastor Erin will be leading a book study during the Advent Season. We will be discussing the book The Heart That Grew Three Sizes: Finding Faith in the Story of the Grinch by Matt Rawle. The lessons and themes of this book will also be used in worship throughout Advent. The study will begin on Wednesday, December 3^rd at 630pm at the church and will meet for three weeks. Consider joining to deepen your faith as you also enjoy fellowship time and build community with others. Sunday School Christmas Program, Cookies and Carol Sing!!!

December 14

Mark your calendars!! Sunday, December 14th will be the Children's Sunday School Christmas Program during worship followed by our Christmas Cookie Walk (a Christmas Cookie Sale to raise funds for our next Youth Mission Trip) and Carol Sing after worship.

Children who wish to participate in the Sunday School Christmas Program will have an opportunity to participate in a live skit the morning of (speaking and non-speaking roles available) or be part of a compilation of interviews recorded in advance and shown on the big screen during worship. If you have not done so already, please talk with your child and complete the survey below to indicate how they are willing to participate. If you have more than one child in nursery through middle school, please complete one survey for each child. Thank you in advance for your responses. This really helps the Children's Grow Team make sure that all children are able to participate to their comfort level!

Meadowridge Snack Attack

December 15

The Thursday Morning Men’s Group will fix sandwiches and deliver snacks on Monday, December 15th. Donations for sandwich-making and other snack items are available. Here is the link for details and the sign-up. Items are due by Sunday, December 14th at 5PM. The signups are also accessible by our website at: https://www.sugarriverumc.org/about-5, or by navigating to the SERVE dropdown. We post the new signups there monthly. You can also give directly to the Meadowridge Snack Attack Mission by going here and selecting Meadowridge Library Snack Attack. This allows us to purchase any additional items we may need each month.
