Sugar River Mission Statement:
Connect, Grow, and Serve in our relationship with God
and others!
In light of the CDC recommendations and the changes to the Dane County orders governing public gatherings and mask mandates, we are adjusting our procedures effective June 13th.  Below is a link to the guidelines from the CDC if you and your family find it helpful to review.
  • Starting June 13, we will no longer require people to sign up online for worship services
  • We will continue to have chairs spaced in our Worship Auditorium for folks who wish to maintain more physical distancing with people outside of their social pod.
  • Masks are no longer required for fully vaccinated folks but are recommended by the CDC for those who have not been vaccinated. Sugar River recommends the same.
  • For those who might feel more vulnerable we invite you to continue to mask and distance as comfortable for you.
  • Our goal is for someone who wishes to maintain social distancing to be able to attend our services in a way they consider safe.
  • Please assume that those who wear masks are maintaining a social distancing regime until they inform you otherwise.
  • We will continue to have fellowship time outside through June as weather permits, with a special Brat cookout this Sunday!
  • We will still provide virtual services
  • We will continue to clean weekly and do our normal sanitizing of high-touch surfaces.

Connect Celebration Lunch THIS Sunday!
Right after service, we will be grilling up some delicious brats (and hot dogs for the kids)! Join us for an early lunch outside and simply celebrate being in fellowship together again. What a great way to connect with our June sermon series "At the Table" AND one another! Hope to see you all there!
This Sunday's Worship Service
NEW Series!
At the Table
"The Table of Restoration"
John 21:1-9
When I was blessed to walk the shores of the Sea of Galilee, I could not help but think of this amazing story of Jesus serving up a meal. This powerful story demonstrates the power of the table to bring restoration to our lives. In this case, Peter was guided into restoration in his relationship with Jesus, and commissioned to be a leader in the church. Lord, may we hear your words of restoration and call for our lives as well.

Order of Service is HERE if you'd like to print or have it on your phone have it during worship.

Online service will premiere at 1pm; participate on YouTube or Facebook

Sugar River Summer Choir
Hello Singers! I'm excited to finally be putting together a choir here at Sugar River! Singing is a huge passion of mine, and I've been itching to get back into a choir-type setting. Since Sugar River loves contemporary music, I figured we should use a contemporary choir setting! This group is meant for us singers to come together and share in our love for music and praise in a fun and relaxed way.
Whether you're a seasoned singer or a or a true beginner, you're welcome here. Please fill out this form if you're interested. Beginning next week on June 16th, we'll meet on Wednesdays at 7pm, but please don't stress if you can't make every rehearsal! I look forward to singing with you all!
Catie Brooks, Worship Arts Coordinator
Summer is Looking Up!
Save the Date! On July 11th, we are really excited to share in a fun community event! Our theme and sermon series is all about hope and "Looking Up." We can't wait to be together for a condensed outdoor worship at 9:30 followed by food, activities and games for all ages, kid crafts, live music and so much more. Start inviting friends and family and stay tuned for further details.

Summer Sunday School Update
THIS Sunday right after service, you are invited to meet outdoors for some quick family fun- then join us for the Connect Celebration Lunch! (See above.) Be sure to watch for your Children & Family Ministry newsletter for more details on this first meeting and future dates!
Refresh and Renew Event
Wednesday, June 30th at 6pm all are invited to attend this dinner and discussion designed with YOU in mind! Our District Super Intendent Scott Carlson will be here to lead us in where we are and how we can better reach out as a church. We'd love to have your input, so please join us for food, fellowship and talking about our future.
To ensure we have enough food, sign up is required.

June Monthly Mission: Peace with Justice: Hope's Home

We are delighted to continue our Peace with Justice emphasis.

This month we will be featuring Hope's Home.

Hope's Home serves the community from the heart of downtown Madison. Every week Hope's Home delivers sandwiches, emergency food bags, hygiene and personal care items to our most vulnerable brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness in Madison. Many of the people they serve are isolated from congregant shelters due to COVID-19 and have been surviving outside. Outreach specialists deliver food as well as greatest needed items including: fuel cards for individuals experiencing homelessness to travel for jobs and services, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper, mosquito repellant, and hand wipes.

Below is a list of Hope's Home Top 10 needed items. Please place these items on the SERVE table and we will deliver them to Hope's Home at the end of the month! Please also consider donating monetarily. Just click here and select the Peace with Justice line item and all donations will be sent directly to Hope's Home at the end of the month!
