At The Table
In Person and In The Building Worship This Sunday!

This Sunday, June 6th, Sugar River will be offering in person worship
inside the Worship Auditorium.
We have worked to provide better air filtering and will provide safe distancing to offer safety for unvaccinated folks and children. We will also ask folks to wear masks on June 6th as a precaution and will evaluate the most effective practices to allow for some freedom while caring for those who are still vulnerable.
In an effort to allow for comfort as we return to worship and ensure comfort and safety, we are well prepared to welcome you back! We will be taking reservations for the first few weeks. On Wednesdays you will receive an email with the link to sign up for the next worship service. The link will also be here in the E Source and on our website! We are so excited to see you back in the building and to worship together in community! This reservation process will allow us to accommodate you and your family!
We ask that if anyone is not feeling well, to be considerate of others and rest at home.
Virtual worship options will be available!
Please make your reservation by Saturday at noon!

NEW Series!
At the Table
"The Table of Connection"
 Matthew 26:26-30
It is amazing how often important connections with others happen at a table. It should not surprise us to find throughout the Bible how the table and meals play a central part of God’s connection with humanity. Today’s focus is upon the table of the Passover and the table of Communion. Might the discipline of table fellowship be one of the more important spiritual disciplines of our lives?

Online service will premiere at 1pm; participate on YouTube or Facebook

Sugar River Summer Choir
Hello Singers! This is Catie Brooks, the new Worship Arts Coordinator at Sugar River UMC. I've talked to a few of you about this now, but I'm excited to finally be putting together a summer choir here at Sugar River! Singing is a huge passion of mine, and I've been itching to get back into a choir type setting. Since Sugar River loves contemporary music, I figured we should use a contemporary choir setting!
Whether you're a seasoned singer or a or a true beginner, you're welcome here. This group is meant for us singers to come together and share in our love for music and praise.
Please fill out this form if you're interested, and I will reach out with more details! We'll meet weekly for rehearsals (time depending on what works best for all interested). Please don't stress if you can't make rehearsal every week! I would like this to be a fun and relaxed way to get back in the swing of gathering to make music.
I look forward to diving into this more with all of you! Our first rehearsal will be the week of June 14th, exact date and time TBD.
I look forward to singing with you all!

Summer Sunday School Update
Future plans for Sunday School include parents and kids meeting together outdoors shortly after worship service Sunday mornings twice a month. This will kick-off on June 13th followed by the Connect Celebration Lunch! (See above.) Be sure to watch for your Children & Family Ministry newsletter for further details on this first meeting and future dates!

June Monthly Mission: Peace with Justice: Hope's Home

We are delighted to continue our Peace with Justice emphasis. This month we will be featuring Hope's Home.

Hope's Home serves the community from the heart of downtown Madison. Every week Hope's Home delivers sandwiches, emergency food bags, hygiene and personal care items to our most vulnerable brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness in Madison. Many of the people they serve are isolated from congregant shelters due to COVID-19 and have been surviving outside. Outreach specialists deliver food as well as greatest needed items including: fuel cards for individuals experiencing homelessness to travel for jobs and services, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper, mosquito repellant, and hand wipes.

Below is a list of Hope's Home Top 10 needed items. Please place these items on the SERVE table and we will deliver them to Hope's Home at the end of the month! Please also consider donating monetarily. Just click here and select the Peace with Justice line item and all donations will be sent directly to Hope's Home at the end of the month!
