Sugar River
Still Connecting, Growing and Serving
When Will the Doors Reopen?
A note from Pastor Gary...

Dear Sugar River Family,
I want to thank you all for the incredible sense of care and support you have given to each other, and to the community. Yes, the church left the building, but the ministry and mission of the church continues…just in a new way.

The Servant Leadership Board is forming an “Impact Team” to asses the potential of opening our building for groups of people, such as worship. Our Bishop Jung, in consultation with a variety of sources and the Conference COVID-19 Task Force, is asking that June 21 would be the earliest possible Sunday for relaunching public worship in church buildings. That date may be premature by weeks or even months as we seek to follow the wisdom of COVID-19 experts and maintain the value of keeping people safe as a mark of Christian Discipleship.

For me, I want to meet with you, my siblings in Christ as soon as possible. I grieve the weeks we must be apart. Yet, I know that this is an important time to keep social distancing for the sake of the vulnerable and to not overload our hospitals and health care workers. Please be prayerful about the future of our church and community. As the Body of Christ, I encourage you to consider calling some folks today and offering them a greeting and words of support.

Guidelines for the doors being opened will be offered in the next two weeks by the Sugar River Impact Team.

In the Name of Christ Jesus,
Pastor Gary
Sunday's Online Message
The Soul-full Project: Partners for the Journey
  Ephesians 3:14-21
This Soul-full Project is centered in the need to become a new kind of people, one we walk together. When we awaken to God’s presence in and among us, we join together in practicing the love of God, neighbor, and self. We make ourselves available to God’s “power within us to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine."

Memorial Day Weekend is upon us. If you would like to honor the memory of a loved one, consider having a candle available during worship this week. There will be a special moment to light them during the prayer time.

Watch on Facebook or YouTube at 9:30am & invite friends & family to join you!
You can also share the service on your own page right after the premier; its a quick, easy way to pass along a hopeful message. You never know who may be inspired to begin or grow in their Christian journey!

Please continue to check in by liking/loving, sharing, and commenting when you tune in or as you are watching. We truly love hearing from you and "seeing" you! It helps us feel like we are all together!

4:15 Prayer!
Let's welcome a " new thing," as we join together in a breakthrough prayer!
Since our Sugar River address is 415 W Verona Ave we thought it might be nice to pray together at 4:15 a.m. or p.m. each and every day. Let's offer up God-sized prayers for a God-sized breakthrough creating new possibilities for our church, the community, the world and each of us personally. To get started let's focus on praying for four different things for 15 seconds each. The breakthroughs await!

To add the prayer as an image on your phone or tablet so it is handy for your prayer- just visit our Home Page for downloadable images!

If you'd like to sign up for weekly Breakthrough Prayer reminders and future prayer texts, simply text: @srprayer to 81010

All Sugar River gatherings, including Sunday Worship Services, are cancelled until further notice from health officials.
"My prayer is that we would sense peace in the midst of these circumstances. May we work together to serve our church and community in a way that demonstrates trust in our God who is in control."
