| | Coats for Kids Is Back at Five Points! | | | | |
Our Salvation Army Coats for Kids bins are back in the Five Points lobby!
Last year, THANKS to this COMMUNITY, WE COLLECTED MORE COATS THAN ANY OTHER LOCATION in the area! While we're proud of that, what really matters is the number of people we were able to help.
And the NEED IS STILL THERE.
The Salvation Army will be picking up coats weekly to get them into the hands of those who need them as quickly as possible.
Have a new or gently used coat hanging in your closet? We'd love to put it to good use!
| | Community Art Wall: Meet the Artist: Stacy Hall’s “Not a Bully” | | | | |
Oil painter Stacy Hall will be featured on the Five Points Community Art Wall from October 1 through November 15.
Stacy continues to expand and develop her subject matter which currently features misunderstood animals like the “bully” breeds, as well as other animals that carry stereotypes and stigmas. She aims to show these diverse animals in a different light, and connect them to the viewer in a way that shows off their natural personalities.
Using her sense of humor to add elements of wonder and surprise she plays on the toddler-like qualities that these animals possess.
