This has been another challenging week to be apart from one another in fellowship and community. We hope that this communication finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. We hope that you are able to choose your neighbor over divisiveness, solidarity over discord, and love over all.

As a reminder, in between this weekly e-newsletter, you can always find good information on our cathedral website , and real-time updates and relevant content on our Facebook , Instagram , and Twitter pages.

This week alone, we have shared out messages from Presiding Bishop Curry , Bishop Tom Breidenthal , and Rabbi-in-Residence, Abie Ingber . Please follow our social channels for these messages and more, and/or you can click on the aforementioned name(s) to read their contributions.

We also sent out staffing announcements this week. Specifically, we will be saying a good-goodbye to Hannah Teetor at the end of the month. We will be welcoming Brooklin Taylor into the role of Director of Family Ministry. You can read more about Brooklin below!

It was also announced that The Rev. Canon Jason Leo has been appointed interim dean for the cathedral, effective July 1. Bishop Tom Breidenthal made the appointment after much prayerful consideration, and in consultation with cathedral vestry. In light of current restraints on the interim dean search process as a result of the current COVID pandemic, this measure was taken to continue to foster the health and vitality of the cathedral community.  You can read more about this here.

We would like to welcome Brooklin and Jason into their new roles, respectively, and we hope you will be able to connect with them when they join us in July.

And a reminder, with respect to a strategic regathering plan, we continue to work in lockstep with The Diocese of Southern Ohio to determine what safe in-person worship will look like in the future. To that end, in consultation with Bishop Breidenthal, the decision has been made to take things slow, and to use the month of June as a time of discernment and additional planning to determine how to regather safely.

And if you have not already, we would appreciate hearing back from you in a short 6 question survey below so that we might glean those things that are important to you as we move forward. Thank you in advance for sharing!

STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

Brooklin Taylor will be joining the cathedral staff this summer as our new Director of Family Ministries! Brooklin has experience working with children, young people, and families across the U.S., and in England and Lebanon.

She has spent the last five years working as a professor of Public Theology here in Cincinnati, creating and facilitating spaces for students to experience God already at work in their neighborhood through practices rooted in ecology, economics and racial justice.

Her deep desire is for people of all ages to find belonging and experience their own "enoughness" in connection with God, their community and the earth. Brooklin is a certified yoga instructor and loves gardening, walking and art. She lives in East Price Hill with her partner, Joey, her son, Lee, and her puppy, Benny.

Welcome, Brooklin!
