The presidential primary was a foregone conclusion with President Biden and former President Trump easily winning Illinois after already clinching their party’s nominations. However, we did have several contested Republican primaries impacting McLean County. There were no contested Democratic primaries in our county outside of the presidential race. For unofficial results for the City of Bloomington click here and for the rest of the county click here. For races that span both election jurisdictions remember to add both totals together for an accurate figure. Turnout was low with 17% of registered voters showing up to the polls. That is down from 30% in the 2020 presidential primary.
