FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Hi All,

This week we were excited to welcome Mr. Leon Krolikowski, our new district director of security to Ox Ridge! Leon will be working closely with our faculty and staff as we review and enhance school security and welcome our “School Security Officer” later this spring.

Should you see Leon on campus please know that he is authorized by our District to carry a firearm on school grounds. Connecticut and Federal Law and the Darien Police Department also authorize him to carry a firearm.

Leon will often be in civilian clothes wearing a DPS lanyard and DPS identification with his firearm concealed on his right hip with a badge that authorizes him as a retired law enforcement officer to carry a firearm. Should you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss!

Also, a special thanks to Dr. Jenny Trifiatis for coordinating our annual 100th day Food Drive! The 100th Day barring any weather cancellations is February 2nd (Groundhog's Day). We are asking students to bring in the following to coordinate a donation to Bridgeport Rescue Mission:

ELP - Toothbrushes

Kindergarten - Mac and cheese boxes

1st Grade - Cans of soup

2nd Grade - Rice

3rd Grade - Cereal

4th Grade - Cans of tuna

5th Grade - Squeezable jars of jelly

Thanks,

Luke
