FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Hi All,

This week we had some incredible former Ox Ridge students, now in the upper grades at DHS, return to our school to lead our 2nd and 4th graders in some exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment experiences. Thank you to the Ox Ridge PTO for providing the materials for our kids and snacks for our high school volunteers for the effort!

Students had a chance to engineer solutions to real world challenges with the expert guidance from these truly impressive upper classmen. It’s deeply gratifying to see these students return to Ox Ridge to both learn of their success and to watch our current students have a chance to see such remarkable models of what they can become! Enjoy some pictures below of the experience. We are looking forward to more DHS STEM visits in 3rd and 5th later this year.

Thanks,

Luke

FROM THE PTO

Dear Ox Ridge Parents,

We are so appreciative of all the love and generosity from our Ox Ridge family. This is our 21st year in partnering with the Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) during the holiday season. Through “Hope Chest” we sponsored foster children in Fairfield County by providing gifts and gift cards to 152 children in need, brightening their holiday. Thank you to all the families that participated in this important Ox Ridge tradition.

Our Kids Care Club has also supported the FCA by providing the catering and decorations for their annual holiday party for foster families. Students worked to make table centerpieces and room decorations. Parents generously donated funds to pay for the catering. Thank you again for your support!

Spots are still open for the Winter Session of Darien After School which runs from January 3rd through April 6th. Registration is available here

Have a wonderful week!
