Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart and especially the hearts of the people of this land, that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. 2019 Nantucket Arts Festival
The
2019 Nantucket Arts Festival
will take place until Sunday, October 13
th
at the United Methodist Church, 2 Centre Street, and all around town. The festival’s theme is,
Reimagining the Real – Shifting Our World View
. A feature of the festival is
Petite Concerts
, 30-minute performances in the sanctuary of the church, as well as extended evening concerts
. Admission is FREE
.

Somewhat Spooky Halloween
Looking for a way to get in touch with your inner child? Then join us in recreating last year's Halloween event! This fundraiser is appropriate for children ages 3-10 and will take place
Friday, October 25, from 4-7 pm
, and
Saturday, October 26, from 2-5 pm
. There will be games, crafts, a creepy touch box, a Mad Scientists' Lab with Halloween science experiments, a toddler "hay ride" (weather permitting), and a Fright Room for those brave enough to enter.
Volunteer needs include mad scientists to help conduct the (simple)experiments, people who want to be part of the Fright Room/hidden scare crew, overseers of crafts and games, working with the Halloween touch box, and help with decorating/set up/clean up. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

…Christmas Stroll Concert at St. Paul’s Friday, December 6
It’s not too soon to mark your calendar for a festive, St. Paul’s holiday season concert featuring vocal and instrumental soloists and ensembles. A special dessert and bubbly reception immediately follows in Gardner Hall, with a preview of St. Paul’s Christmas Market and Silent Auction items. 7:00pm to 8:00pm Concert, followed by Dessert and Champagne, $25 per person.
