2020 Stewardship Campaign Update
Since pledge cards were mailed in October, we are pleased to report that we have received over 133 pledges with more than $320,000 in pledges and gifts committed, an increase from the prior year. If you haven’t yet pledged, we’d be most appreciative if you’d do so prior to the end of the calendar year. The financial certainty provided by pledges aids us greatly in both budgeting and allocating assets to Outreach efforts.
You can mail in your pledge card by the end of the year, as well as contribute online at our website through a secure link. We also have extra brochures and pledge cards on the table at the back of the church. In the event that you choose to pay your pledge with a gift of stock, please inform the Treasurer of the number of shares and the name of the security that you are donating. We ask for this because our broker - Commonwealth Securities - informs us only of the securities we receive, not the name of the donor. Some of you also may be eligible to make a contribution through a tax-advantaged IRA distribution; ask your financial advisor for details. Once again, you can adjust your 2020 pledge or gift up or down if your circumstances change. For more information on giving to St. Paul’s, please visit us at http://stpaulschurchnantucket.org/giving/.
Again, thank you, and please give generously.
2020 Offering Envelopes
Distribution of 2020 Offering envelopes has begun. If you have been contacted and confirmed that you wish envelopes for 2020, then your box is in the back of the church this Sunday. If you have not used envelopes in the past but are interested in envelopes for 2020, please speak to Penny Macintyre (pennymacintyre@comcast.net) or Christine Borneman (office@stpaulschurchnantucket.org).

Advent III - Sunday, December 15, 9:30am
Advent Lessons and Carols with Eucharist
Advent is a season of both quiet reflection and joyful expectation. St. Paul’s will continue its Advent observance with a Service of Lessons and Carols with Eucharist on Sunday, December 15. This service is intended to be a time of spiritual preparation, as we watch and wait for the coming of the Kingdom of God. Through the experience of sacred word and music, the story of the coming of Christ will gradually unfold and deepen our understanding of God’s message of love and redemption; a service of words and music that will propel us quietly toward the true joy of Christmas.
Parish Christmas Brunch - Sunday, December 15 , 11am
Our Christmas Brunch will be held on Sunday, following the service. Our Fellowship Committee will prepare a delicious brunch and dessert to celebrate the Christmas season. All are welcome and there is no charge. This year Nantucket S.T.A.R. is the island non-profit chosen by the Committee to receive our voluntary contributions. If you would like to make a Christmas donation to this organization, there will be a basket in Gardner Hall where you may place your contribution. Please make your check payable to St. Paul’s Church. Ms. Tina Steadman, the Director of Programming and Operations, will be our guest and will give a brief talk about Nantucket S.T.A.R., a program that benefits children with disabilities by offering a number of accessible programs.
