2020 Stewardship Campaign Update
As we enter this season of giving, we have received nearly 150 pledge cards since our stewardship mailing in October. They total more than $320,000 in pledges and gifts committed toward our goal of $350,000 annually within the next three years. The average pledge is up 18%. We will be publishing the names of donors in the parish’s annual report next month. If you pledged for 2020, thank you. Please let the church office know if you do
wish to have your name published. If you haven’t yet pledged, we’d be most appreciative if you’d do so before the end of the year so we can acknowledge your contribution in the report. The financial certainty provided by pledges aids us greatly in both budgeting and allocating resources to parish outreach efforts. We welcome your ideas for outreach in 2020 as the Vestry starts this process.
You can mail in your pledge card as well as contribute online at our website through a secure link. We also have extra pledge cards on the table at the back of the church. In the event that you choose to pay your pledge with a gift of stock, please inform the Treasurer of the number of shares and the name of the security that you are donating. We ask for this because our broker - Commonwealth Securities - informs us only of the securities we receive, not the name of the donor. Specific instructions for the gift of stock may be obtained from the Church Office or the Treasurer. Some of you also may be eligible to make a contribution through a tax-advantaged IRA distribution; ask your financial advisor for details. Once again, you can adjust your 2020 pledge or gift up or down if your circumstances change.
