Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

When You Don't Know the Way, Trust Who Leads

This Sunday’s readings challenge us to live with readiness and trust. In the Gospel, Jesus tells us to be prepared—like servants waiting for their master to return. And in the first reading, we hear about Abraham, who “went out, not knowing where he was to go,” simply because he trusted God’s promise.

Do you believe God is trustworthy? When you look back over your life, can you see His hand—guiding, protecting, providing—even when the path was unclear? Sometimes faith means taking the next step without knowing where it will lead, but knowing Who is leading.

How is God inviting you to trust Him this week?

If you have a story of God’s faithfulness in your life, we’d love to hear it—your witness may inspire someone else to take their own next step of faith.

Bishop Luis to Visit Saint Paul

We are grateful for the opportunity to welcome Bishop Luis Zarama to Saint Paul Catholic Church on Sunday, August 17. Bishop Zarama will celebrate Mass at 11:00 AM in English and 1:00 PM in Spanish.

As the spiritual shepherd of our diocese, Bishop Zarama's visit is a special occasion for our parish community to gather in prayerful unity. His presence reminds us of our connection to the wider Church and our call to remain rooted in faith, hope, and perseverance.

We encourage all parishioners to attend one of the Masses and be part of this meaningful moment in the life of our parish. Let us come together as one Church, united in Christ and open to the grace of this encounter with our bishop.
