Call for Papers: Overactive Bladder & Beyond Unraveling Bladder Pain & Dysfunction - The Journal of Women's & Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (JWPHPT) invites submissions for its upcoming special issue, "Overactive Bladder and Beyond: Unraveling Bladder Pain and Dysfunction."Topics may encompass overactive bladder syndrome, interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome, relationships between bladder dysfunction and other systems, and voiding dysfunction. The special issue is scheduled for publication in October 2025, and we welcome original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and case reports. Submit your manuscript by March 15, 2025. Blog Spotlight - The Miseducation of Pelvic Health: Closing the Gap on Racial Disparities - Reflecting on the impact of education, this blog highlights the crucial role of physical therapists in addressing health disparities within the Black community. By advancing resources and opportunities for pelvic health, we can work together to bridge gaps and promote equity in care.


Research Participation: Sensorimotor Distortion in Women with Persistent Pelvic Pain (Brunel University) - It is hoped that ascertaining whether perceptual changes are part of a pelvic pain experience and developing a more nuanced understanding of facets of the different phenotypes of pelvic pain, will allow for more targetted treatments. We invite all Pelvic Health Physical Therapists to take part in this research by sharing the recruitment poster and link with their patients.
