What a Fabulous Start to the Season!

We’ve already had two wonderful Hearts gatherings — our October luncheon and the Hearts Mingle at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse — and both were filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of fun! 💕

Relive the moments (or see what you missed!) by checking out the photo galleries now available on our website: https://heartsofmiromar.org/photos/

Here’s to many more amazing get-togethers ahead — the season is just getting started! ✨

What’s Next Committee – Lending a Hand (or a Walker!)

Do you have medical equipment you’re not using? Or do you need equipment to help with recovery or mobility? The What’s Next Committee is here to connect members who have items to lend with those who need them.

We are building a Lending Medical Equipment Registry, which will serve as a “catalog” of available items and requests. Here’s how it works:

  1. If you can lend equipment: Call D’Lee Bartholome at 765-744-1831 and provide the details of the items you are willing to lend (e.g., walkers, knee scooters, crutches, bedside commodes). Your items will be added to the registry.

  2. If you need equipment: Call D’Lee Bartholome at 765-744-1831 and let us know what you need. We will match you with a member who can lend that item.

  3. Connecting borrowers and lenders: Once a match is found, we will provide the contact information so the lender and borrower can connect directly.

⚠️ Please note: It may take some time to grow the registry, so the more members who participate, the faster we can connect equipment to those who need it. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference!

This registry is all about sharing, helping, and supporting our Hearts community. Let’s make sure everyone who needs a hand gets one!

November Luncheon

CHECK-IN: 11:30 AM

LUNCH SERVED: 12:00 Noon

DEADLINE: Friday, October 31

Honoring Women Who Served

Join us for a special November luncheon as we celebrate and honor the incredible women who have served our country. November Charity

Monday, November 10

Spread Holiday Cheer with Toys for Kids!

This season let’s come together to make spirits bright! We’re once again supporting Toys for Kids, a heartfelt initiative by the San Carlos Fire Department that helps bring holiday joy to local children — from the tiniest tots to teenagers.

We’ve learned that donations to this wonderful cause are down this year, so let’s do what the Hearts do best — lift others up!

If you’d like to contribute but don’t have time to shop, monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase toys for kids of all ages. Every dollar and every gift helps make sure no child goes without a reason to smile this holiday season.

October Social

Monday, October 20

Our First One, Let’s Make It Sparkle!

Get ready, Hearts — it’s time to shake, sip, and sparkle at our first of the season Hearts Martini Mingle!

Join us Monday, October 20, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Blue Water Grill for an evening of laughter, connection, and a little bubbly magic. Poolside tables are reserved just for our members, so whether you’re reconnecting with friends or meeting new faces, you’ll be right in the heart of the fun.

Flying solo or new to the group? No problem! 💕 Look for the ladies wearing Hearts of Miromar name badges — they’ll make sure you’re right in the mix.

Not a martini fan? No worries! 🍷🍹 From wine and cocktails to mocktails or a fizzy soda, there’s a glass for everyone — and plenty of good cheer to go around.

Let’s kick off the season with friendship, joy, and dazzling Hearts energy. Don’t miss this sparkling start to our new season!

Brightening Days, One Heart at a Time

At Hearts of Miromar, we know a little kindness goes a long way! 💖 Our Sunshine team is here to support members who could use a lift — whether recovering from surgery, facing health challenges, or navigating the loss of a loved one.

Want to help or know someone who could use a little sunshine? Contact Rosemary Manginelli at rman251@aol.com, reach out to any HOM Executive Board member, or use the ‘Let's Connect’ form on our website.
